Affirmations For When You Feel Overwhelmed + Discouraged

Affirmations are affirmed, it is a statement that you say to yourself that is declared to be true. When you use them regularly they help you to ditch negative thoughts, and apprehension. You can place them all around the house, so you will see them daily. When you say them every day they become even more powerful.

We all have those days where we feel like we are going to break. When you have stress coming from every direction in your life, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and hopeless. A good way to handle the feeling of being overwhelmed is to state affirmations to yourself.  They not only improve your mood, but they aide you in living a more powerful life.

How often do you celebrate yourself for all that you have accomplished in life? How often do you dwell on the mistakes you’ve made? We are easily are biggest critics. We feel let down, and overwhelmed when we don’t accomplish a goal. It is in our nature to always want to improve, to move on to better things. When those things don’t happen it’s easy to feel hopeless, and like everything is falling apart. When you have those days, affirm that “you are doing the best that you can with what you have, and you will try again tomorrow.”

I ACCEPT MYSELF AND LOVE WHO I AM BECOMING

You have to spend the rest of your life with you. So why not spend it loving and accepting yourself? Your laugh, mistakes, and talents. Life becomes so much easier when you truly began to love who you are. It is really hard to give up that idea of being perfect, and begin working on becoming yourself. You will thank yourself when you do.

Self-love does not mean conceited, it means acceptance for everything you are and everything you are not.

When you acknowledge how you feel, you can then begin to deal with your feelings. Oftentimes we like to avoid how were feeling, because we are afraid of what they may mean. That’s why being present, and mindful is so important. Instead of dwelling on the past or worrying yourself sick about the future. Be present so you can enjoy every moment.

A we go through life; we often compare ourselves to the next person. We find ourselves envious of what others have. Being envious of another person, is like telling yourself you don’t deserve what others have.  We’re all meant to live a wonderful life, it is up to us whether we want to believe we are. We you affirm to yourself that “I am meant to live an amazing life and I deserve to have wonderful things.” You will begin to notice a change in the way you carry yourself, and deal with stressful days.

 Although you cannot control everything that happens in your life. You can control how you react to overwhelming, stressful situations. You can either choose to wallow in self-pity, and feel broken. Or you can choose to accept that things are going to happen that will be out of your control, and move forward gracefully.

Things don’t always turn out the way you planned, or how you believe they should. There are things that go wrong. Where there are bad times, good ones are not far away.

As you experience trials and tribulations in life, know that things will feel overwhelming. Instead of choosing to let the situation control you, and break you down. Affirm to yourself that “I have control of my life, I am in control of how I react to situations.”

I FORGIVE MYSELF

“I forgive myself” when you make a mistake, when you hurt someone, and when you make the wrong decision it can be very difficult to forgive yourself for the many mistakes we make in life. You might find yourself feeling guilty, by the things you’ve messed up in life. Guilt is such a toxic feeling to hold on to. Set your mind free and Forgive yourself. It is easy to blame ourselves for everything that goes wrong in life. It is so freeing to forgive yourself.

 

It’s okay to give yourself a break, and know you don’t have to do it all. Take time to focus on your wellbeing, and health especially on those days when you are trying to get it all done. Saying affirmations to yourself may seem silly at first, but they really do work.
