Green Smoothie Recipe to Give You Glowing + Healthy Skin
We all know that good skin comes from within, from what we eat and from our diet. I have always struggled with my acne prone skin and keeping it clear. After trying every skincare product that is out there with no real success. Everything except my acne.org products, but even then I had to change my diet to keep my skin clear.
I started drinking more water cut out caffeine, and adding more plant based foods to my diet. Whenever I have my cheat days and indulge a little, my skin immediately starts to show the effects. I’m not even going to lie I love my Five Guy’s and my truffle macaroni and cheese. Although my skin often betrays me whenever I do eat those things.
I attempt to bring my skin back too normal with a green smoothie, and lots of water. This recipe always gives my skin a healthy glow.
1 ripe banana
2 cups of spinach
1 sliced mango
1 tsp chia seeds
1 sliced red apple
2 cups coconut water
1/2 avocado or kale
Place all ingredients in a blender or an NutriBullet and blend until smooth. Double the ingredients if you want to make two or three cups.
Both bananas, and mangos are delicious, but they also have many health benefits. Spinach is packed with vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin C and vitamin D so it is a perfect base to getting your skin back on track.
Chia seeds are loaded with omega 3 fats which are fundamental for good skin healthy skin. I’m also obsessed with Avocado, and use it for almost everything. So of course I throw it in all my smoothies. It’s packed with vitamin E which is a skin antioxidant. It helps to reduce irritation in the skin, and moisturizes the skin.
