We all have low points in our life. I can’t tell you how many times I have felt like I was at my absolute lowest point in life. Unfortunately, no one is immune to mishaps and tragedy in this lifetime. However that doesn’t mean we are doomed to live a miserable life. In my experience I have always come out of my funk a better, more inspired individual. Going through a rough patch or a funk is natural, it is usually not the most exciting times but we all seem to make It through!

A couple of months ago I read both The Secret, and The Power by best-selling author Rhonda Byrne. I have a deep appreciation for reading so when my friend recommended both books to me, and raved how they had changed her life. I didn’t hesitate to go online and purchase them myself. If you haven’t read them you should, they are all about the law of attraction, and how positive thinking can change your life for the better, providing you with love, happiness, money, and health.

In today’s post I wanted to give you some tips on how to get out of a funk, and how you can use the law of attraction to keep manifesting in your life.

Genie In A Bottle?

If you have ever read The Secret, you know all about the Genie in the bottle analogy. If you have not read the book yet; basically the universe represents a genie and instead of getting three wishes like genies usually gives, you get unlimited wishes. Whatever it is you want, whatever you wish to be yours, the universe will respond with “your wish is my command.”

Once you make a wish you should already be certain your wish will be granted. You are not going to spend time using another one of your wishes for the same thing. Just like at a restaurant you would never put in your order twice, because you are certain once you give your order to the waitress it will come the first time. When you put in a wish begin working towards it. Don’t keep wishing for the same thing over and over have faith it will manifest.


How can you expect to receive more blessings in life? If you’re not already satisfied and grateful for what you already have? It can be challenging to be grateful all the time, but it is crucial to understand how much you already have. Start by writing down everything you are thankful for in your life at the moment. Don’t just write it down truly feel grateful in your heart for it. It doesn’t matter how minuscule or how colossal write it all down, and feel amazed at how much you already have in life.

When I started making list before I went to bed, I could see a huge difference in my mood. Feel gratitude as you go through out your day, when you get your cup of coffee in the morning be thankful. When you are doing homework on your laptop be grateful you have a computer. When you are driving in traffic, instead of complaining, be grateful for the car that you have. Try switching your negative thoughts to positive ones.

The universe can tell when you are not in a place of gratitude, when you are constantly complaining and wishing for more out of life. The universe can sense your negative vibrations, and you will attract more negativity. Just as when you are being positive and appreciative the universe will recognize that. You will be rewarded  with more of what you have been asking for. In order to manifest even more dreams you want in life. Include things you don’t already have on your gratitude list. If you want a new two-story house, and a big bank account make sure you write it down in the present tense as if you already have it. For example, I am grateful for my two-story home, and my big bank account.  Don’t be afraid to dream big.
